Our resident orthodontist, Anne Branch has worked at Abbey Dental Practice since July 1989. She has a wealth of experience in both the private and NHS sector, currently holding positions at West Suffolk Hospital and within the Community Dental Service.
Dr Branch qualified as a dentist in 1978 at The London Hospital Medical College (now the Royal London). After hospital posts in orthodontics, oral and maxilla-facial surgery, dental surgery, paedodontics, conservative dentistry and periodontics, she took a higher dental qualification becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1982. That year she also started specialist training at The Eastman Dental Hospital (the only postgraduate dental school in the UK)
Her aim of treatment, in conjunction with the patient’s wishes, is to create a confident, happy smile without detriment to the occlusion, teeth and supporting tissues.
Anne’s interests outside work are mostly connected with her 3 terrier dogs – long country walks, agility and dog training. They are 2 Jack Russells and Patterdale. There is a short legged, smooth coated, black and white JR, a delicate long legged brown and white rough coated JR and the Patterdale is the largest, black and brown, rough coated and ready to jump into water whatever the weather!!
